Big transition not going well. Daughter just moved in dorm and started college last week. Been on and off meds for depression the last 4 years she says no help. BPD makes a lot of sense want to learn more about DBT treatment. Going with her to intensive outpatient to get on meds again there is highly likely depression but it's more than that. Glad to find this site.

Hi!
Welcome MJmom:
I'm so sorry that your daughter is having a tough time with the changes connected with starting college.  You might find that the information at this DBT selfhelp website valuable.  There is a lot of information there.

www.dbtselfhelp.com/

The website below has some interesting features to track moods, anxiety and some other tools:
https://abctracker.anxiety.org

Starting college can be a stressful time, with lots of changes.  This time of year in general can bring on seasonal depression (SAD) in some people.  Just throwing it out there as something to consider.

Other than depression, what other traits lead you to believe she may have BPD?
