I am devesrated and it's hurting my family I'm just lost and so broken

Hi Grace

Im sorry to hear your having to deal with this. My ex wife was similar to your daughter. She blamed her mum for everything and even cut her out of her life three times for extended periods. Obviously my ex MIL was devastated.  She always comes back though. I always found it strange her relationship to her mum. She demonised her and idolised her at the same time.  She now spends at least an hour a day on the phone to my ex MIL. In my experience both my uBPD exs have a strange relationship to their mothers. Its as if they havent cut theapron strings. Hope things get better for you.

Do. Or do not. There is no try.

I'm so sorry. :'(

Did something happen 2 months ago specifically?

Weddings are so stressful, I can imagine she probably didn't handle it well.

How is your relationship with her husband?

I'm so sorry, Grace Hope. It's hard, and very painful.

She may be idealizing her new husband and wants to protect the (unsustainable) merger fantasy she has, where the two of them together are perfect. She may be concerned (without admitting to herself) that if she allows you into that fantasy, her partner will find out she is not the false self she is presenting.

Does she know she is BPD?
