Hi first time posting. Daughter is BPD and also in domestic abuse it's effecting

Hi ny daughter has BPD and is in long term domestically abusive relationship it effecting my three year old grandson. Family now referred to social services feel so sad and worn out by it all.

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

Is your daughter being hit? Or is she hitting your grandson (or both)?

A lot of members here are grandmas who are in complicated relationships with their grandchildren, trying to protect them and love them through a tough situation, to say the least.

How often do you see them? What happened that led to social services becoming involved?

It helps to post, if only to know that you are not alone. Over time, there are some skills that can help, too.
