Signs in your relationship there's trouble brewing/impending fight

I'm not referring to obvious situations that you know are triggers for your pwBPD, but signals to you on occasions where everything seems calm, that they're about to start something... .like an argument, or at least a line of questioning that you know will lead to one.
Just happened to me this weekend, Sunday night. of course.
In our case, I'm learning a sign trouble is coming is an unusual or hostile reaction to a compliment or nice thought, like "I missed you" or "I'm glad we're alone and the kids are asleep, finally"
If she reacts with a lot of questions as to what I meant and why I missed her... .I know I'm about to sail into a hurricane.
I'm hoping by recognizing them, I can learn to navigate around them temporarily. if just for my short term sanity, at least.

Hey Pete, The problem, in my view, is that it's a moving target. Just because you recognize the signs one time doesn't mean that they'll be the same next time. A storm cloud can arrive out of a clear blue sky, as you note.
