Adult adopted daughter may have BPD

Curious and hopeful about this site. Our 28 year old adopted daughter have have BPD ... .no diagnosis. Will be interested to hear from others. I’m suffering with what I call a low grade sorrow ... .which is so NOT my personality!

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

    I'm glad you joined us here looking for answers. So your daughter has not been diagnosed? What brought you here? Does she show behaviors of BPD?   
   I'll go out on a limb and say that since you shared you have a low grade sorrow, there must be something very concerning going on with your daughter. This business of dealing with mental illness really sucks  . At least here in this place you can share, read what others have to say, get encouraged and learn a ton. When you're ready please share more of what brought you here.

How are things right now? Is there anything specific going on with your daughter that you currently need help with?

Are you looking more for support for yourself? You say that you are suffering from what you call a low grade sorrow. What would you say is mostly causing you to feel this sorrow? So many parents here including myself have felt the same way as you at some time and I can say that it really does help to open up and share. We are all here to help and support you whenever you feel like you need it x
