For those who remember me I wanted to update my trial results. It's taken over 2 years but this chapter is finally closed. I got final say in medical decisions which is a huge step for my daughter, while I didn't get primary or a 50/50 split like I wanted I have about a 60/40 amount of time. I gained ground so that's positive and laid a better, stronger foundation for the future. Thanks for all the advice, support and time from everyone.

Hi Eco,
I remember you. That's wonderful news for you and your daughter! For most of us here custody and decision-making came in increments not all at one time. Sounds like you've taken your first step towards improving your daughter's life and gaining more time together which is awesome.
My SO also gained medical decision making through the courts it was huge... .in his case his ex was really weird about health issues and ultimately neglectful. Like my SO's daughters your daughter now has someone rational taking care of her physical health. This has got to ease your mind.
You're doing a good job keep doing what you're doing and your daughter will benefit. Remember it's a long game... .a marathon, you may later down the line go back for more custody or education decision-making, but you have the skills and know the tools to give yourself the best chance in the future. In the meantime enjoy your daughter and in terms of her mom... .document, document, document.
I hope you will continue to share your experience with others here too, there are always newbies that could use some tips and support from someone who's been there.
Take Care,

Wow, the medical decision-making is huge! If I remember correctly, your ex had some weird ideas about milk
Now comes the fun part where you get to enforce the court's rulings.
How is your sweet D doing?
I admire you so much for hanging in there and chipping away at this.
What do you think about volunteering at your daughter's school? For kids dealing with BPD/alienation, that can be a powerful way to neutralize some of the narrative.
