Hi Aquarius68,
Along with
once removed, I welcome you to BPD Family and am glad you found us. We all need help in dealing with our children with BPD traits and by coming here, you will definitely get help.
from all of my husband and I research she definitely has this disorder... .I just can not get her to see it
How did you try to get her to see it? It is not recommended that we tell someone we think they have BPD traits.
Here's a video that I found very helpful in understanding this point. The video is at the bottom but the whole thing is eye-opening:
How to get a borderline into therapyLet us know what you think and feel free to ask any questions, we are here to help
I just need some support to get through this I feel I have no one to talk too and where we live offers no services on this particular disorder so that is y I'm reaching out here... .
You have us now, a large community of parents and loved ones who have benefitted from posting here and learning new ways to interact with those struggling with BPD.
When you say you need help dealing with her, what behaviors are affecting you the most? How much and what kind of contact do you have with her? The more information we have, the better we can support you, point you to helpful information.
Again, welcome to the family. We get it, we've got your back.
