Hello,
I’m struggling to find how to get my son an evaluation. I think he would be willing to go but where can I take him?

Anyone in the Boston area who could recommend where to get a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for BPD?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Welcome

I'm glad you believe your son will go to evaluations.  Have you directly raised the issue with him?

Do you have a family doctor?  Usually best to start these things with a full general physical.

I'm glad you found us.  You've found a community that "get's it" about the things you have been experiencing.

I'll check back later to see your reply.

Best,

Hello Ackmom
I join Formflier in welcoming you to the group. We are glad you are here. As he said, usually the family doctor is where one starts to get a referral for a psychological evaluation. Your medical insurance provider can also help
Most of them have mental illness hotlines that can answer questions and point you to resources in your area. I hope you stick around and post more here. Can you say more about what your son is doing that leads you to suspect he has BPD? We are here for you.

Hello.  You could try McLean hospital in Boston.  I know they do a lot of work with bpd. But I hear it can be quite expensive.  Good luck
