Hi,

My daughter is 23. She's been in and out of hospitals - behavioral and more recently medical for the about 8 of the last 18 months. She was home with us for about 6.5 months then disappeared in the middle of the night. She came home recently and went to another medical hospital. They sent her to a behavioral hospital where she is now. She'll probably be discharged this week. We have tried everything. She is uncooperative. She's angry at us. We just want to keep her safe.

Has anyone been in this position? Did anything help?

Thanks.

Hi there!
I have not been in your situation, BUT my daughter20 is refusing to see any more health personell. She says she is throuhg that, they hate her and it will not help.
I think our kids are angry at us, but that they HATE themselves. And I also think that a lot of health personell don't act the way they ought to when they meet patients with BPD. Maybe your d also have had negative experiences there?
For the time being I am just looking for persons, persons that can be positive for my d to meet with. And the next step would be to look for a therapeut that is mature and self-confident enough to be able to meet my d with generousity and warmth.
Good luck to you!
