I have a 13 year old daughter who is currently in acute care.  She has been restrained multiple times since being in the hospital and has been physically aggressive to staff.  She is getting rejected from most residential treatment centers because of her aggressiveness and the fact she is on a one to one.  Anyone know of a place that recognizes these are symptoms of BPD and will help her?

Hello Broncos Fan,

Would calling your local NAMI chapter get you connected with a facility recommendation? www.nami.org has a helpline number: 800-950-NAMI.

Hugs to you...so painful.

Hi,
I am not sure what state you live in, but the local mental health crisis center could have that info as well.  In my own personal experience,  my son was in RICA in Baltimore MD, after being in Sheppard Pratt.  This was back in '09 though.  Here is something I found that may help ,
