My SO has a D8 whose uBPD BM had been harassing me from the moment we met. She would call over and over, I'd block her number and she'd call from a different one (6x). Then she found my e-mail/fb/pinterest and was harassing me on there being careful to never threaten so I couldn't get a restraining order against her. I've had the police call her and ask her to stop, but she continued. Then I had a lawyer send a cease and decist. This slowed it down, for the most part.

I went with SO for one of the exchanges (not enough time to take me home before they had to meet) and sat in the car ~30 feet from where they were (I was in the parking lot, they were near the entrance of the grocery store). She throws the car into reverse, drives down the aisle, blocks SO's car in (where I was), gets out of the car and screams at me. I have this on video. "It is in your best interest to stay the ::f word:: away from my daughter."

Now if this happens again and she threatens me, do I have cause to get a protection/restraining order? Or is it seen as goading her, showing up at the exchanges? What would the courts see it as?

Do. Or do not. There is no try.

I've personally never seen a RO granted for a stepmom against the mom. Not that it hasn't happened, I've just never heard of it.

I have seen where the court orders that only parents are allowed to be present at exchanges - no allowing GF's or BF's from either side.

My husband used to drop me off at the local convenience store (my choice) when our plans were cut close to exchanges. I was a huge trigger for Mama and I tried to have empathy for her a little bit (even though she had none for me - she's impaired in that aspect). It was hard for her when I came on scene - both as a mom and an ex-wife.
