Going to be a fun year

Good morning
We ( me and daughter) got her into grade 12. We sat down and discussed things with her school of choice what her goal was and how she would accomplish it. So focus on the goal. I agreed because I know they have a special program because I'm friends with a sub teacher in the school. We had an interview with the teachers of the class. I told her she had to be honest with them if she was going in. No sense lying you need to keep a journal on your lies. Just saying. Phew. She made it in to the program.
So I call her twice in the morning and do not take any excuses and she needs to get her own coffee. She's been in all week. I don't know if I should call the teacher once a week or give her my e-mail adaughterress? Am I being a pest?
Last night I got a call she was distressed because it's the 2nd anniversity of the suicde of one of her friends. Her father returned her call and was cold. "Why does he choose my brother over me. Why does my brother not like me." I told her that, it's rough going do want an answer or an ear. I'm here. Apperntly just an ear and confirmation cause we said good night.
Anyways this morning I called " whah I have a headache, I'm sick". 2nd call "ok, I'm up", 3rd times a charm., "I'm up but need coffee". I get a txt, " ok I'm here.
Oh, Yeah it's goning to be a fun year.
Fingers crossed

PyneappleDays, I'm crossing my fingers for both of you. Been there, done that, am there.
I love your "do you want an answer or an ear." Because no matter how crappy things are in DD's life, we can have a relationship if I remember to validate!
Hang in. :-)

Hi PyneappleDays!
Good to hear you! You sound like you have it under control... .that's so good
I wouldn't mind a weekly call if I was a teacher... .at the start anyway. And there's no harm in sending an email saying you are there to help your daughter and if the teachers wanted to contact you, they could. Perhaps suggest that you want to nip any potential problems in the bud.
I got my fingers and legs crossed for you
