I am so sorry for your son's diagnosis!  BPD is a hard one to take.  It has taken me and my DH quite some time to accept the fact that we are dealing with BPD traits in our 14 y/o DD and not just adoption and abandonment issues - a diagnosis no one wants to hear relating to their loved one!  How old is your son?  What led you to seek help for him?  Please know that we are here for you and will support and encourage you in any way that we can.  I will also tell you that, hard as its been for these past few years with us, after 2 1/2 years of medication and counseling we are BEGINNING to see some flickering lights at the end of the tunnel now and then!  We have to keep focusing on those or we would go absolutely crazy!

Hello more than sad,

I am so very sorry to hear about your grandson's diagnoses.

How old is he?  What kind of treatment has he had thus far?

Most importantly... .how can we help you cope with this sad news?

My heart goes out to you!
