I am currently trying to make the best of my situation.  I own a home with my uBPDbf and I was the one who put the downpayment down.  I also do not have enough cash that I could purchase another home.  I have an 8yr old in school and don't want to move yet.  (child has some OCD tendencies so getting her counseling and then will move when a school year is done, so this summer or next)

I just don't seem to be happy.  His "all about me" drains my happiness.  And he won't seem to leave me be.  This past weekend after a party he was very intoxicated and I was a bit.  He wanted to be together and I just asked to wait till morning.  It turned into him insulting me, calling me names, etc., because he didn't get what he wanted when HE wanted it.

I am so sick and tired of giving, but I have to continue living together so how do I not let it drag me down?

Hi FigureIt

I'm sorry you are in this position.  I guess the obvious advice would be to see a lawyer if you can afford it so you are clear on your rights.  Other than that I would try looking for activities outside the house for you to participate in.  Hardly fair to you and your daughter though.  Can you think of an interest or hobby that will get him out the house more?  You might casually mention something you know he'll be interested in or leave out something you spot in a paper or such for him to notice.  Sorry that I don't have better advice for you.  I know what it is like to live with a monster.  All the self help books and the like aren't much help when that person is in your face everyday.  Spending as little time as possible around them is the best option under the circumstances, but getting away completely is even better.  I know others here have had the same problem and will have better advice.  Hang in there.
