Yep, that's how they operate. I have realized that my ex never really liked me the way that I thought she did. It seems like it was just a script that she uses on each subsequent partner. The more time that goes by, the more pity that I have for her. I'm still angry though, ... .

If he sat down and faced the emotional weight of what he's done he'd be crushed by it. My ex is the same way. My ex had no conflict resolution skills whatsoever. Emotionally healthy people discuss their issues with their partner. These people shut down and run away.
