Children exposed to a pwBPD

We had an interesting topic come up in another thread, and I wanted to repost it here for a broader audience and response.

Quick background: I am a divorced single mom who is currently in a recycle with an uBPDbf. My child is from a previous marriage to a NON.  My 5 year old daughter has known my BPD since she was 3. She has had some interesting reactions to him. When she was 4, she told me "mom, sometimes I like him and sometimes I don't."  

In my effort to understand the effects of being in a relationship with my pwBPD, I am trying to understand the effect it will have on my daughter as well. I deeply love my bf, but that doesn't mean staying together is right for me, for my daughter, or for him. I do not want my daughter destroyed like I have been destroyed.

So- My question to the bpdfamily- How has your pwBPD affected your NON child/ren? (either children from a previous relationship or children with your pwBPD?)
