You are in the right place Claudie.
How old is your daughter? Has she been diagnosed with BPD?

Yes, I have found it difficult and overwhelming at times. There have been times thru the years where we can coast but it seems with time it has become a relationship where I have felt more obligation to keep contact and trying to be fair knowing that my daughter's feelings towards me are not good. I have tried in every way to understand and support my daughter but feel I have failed. Daughter is now 34 and I have finally gotten to a point where I can say to myself that this is not about me and I no longer have to be a part of it. I wish her all the best and hope one day we can have a relationship where she is no longer angry and blaming me. Until that day the relationship is one sided and relationships do not do well if one is trying and the other is resisting.

My DD seemed to be doing very well - graduated from DBT and apparently needed treatment for Complex PTSD (still trying to understand that piece) and now the regression is huge and real and big and scary. So are the medical bills. No time to breathe, so tired and worn out.

Yes, overwhelmed and having anxiety attacks. Things have been going well and then we talk and I hear that depressed, flat voice back again and my heart sinks. How to manage and be happy with her well-being so precarious?
