HI there! We are a step-mom/dad  to a 13 year old who girl who is increasingly displaying BPD traits.  Her mother has BPD, but has only sought treatment for depression.  We are at our wits end. She is unconditionally loyal to mom who actively engages in hostile and aggressive co-parenting (definite triangle). When Mom is raging, then dd rages at us, especially when disciplined- turning it around to you don't listen to me, you don't understand me or even try, you diss my mom, you try to change my mind and don't care about my feelings... .  I just ordered the adolescent book and am pursing "family" therapy.

I'm really glad that you found us! The Parenting Board has lots of step-moms and dads of teenagers with BPD, and they will be able to understand exactly what you have been going through, and be able to offer you tips and advice based on their similar experiences. I'm so glad you joined and are telling us about your struggles with your stepd13.  13 is a hard age and having intense emotionality on top of being a 13 year old girl can be confusing for all.
