hi all
the ex received court papers yesterday
she has sent two emails sms and a whats app message
and got my daughter to pm me
i have emailed your lawyer please get him to check his inbox as it took 6 weeks last time
she knows she is supposed to respond to the court
this is just delaying and a way to engage
there is no email to the solicitor
i can read right through her

Because my ex got a very favorable temporary order, typical for mothers in many family courts, she delayed the divorce as long as she could. I kept the case moving along even though it seemed glacially slow, it was 2 to 5 months between each return to court. As we approached the end of the 2 year divorce (a slight exaggeration, actually just 23.5 months) she settled as I arrived at court on Trial Day.
Keep the case on track as much as you can. Avoid distractions, deviations and delays as much as you can. Some is unavoidable but keep it to a minimum. Shrug off the chatter, defend yourself proactively.
