Hi
« on: January 08, 2017, 10:22:46 AM »

Hi im not sure where to post, I have a 20 year old daughter who has been diagnosed with Aspergers, ODD and BPD. I have MS and most days things a a physical struggle, my daughter uses this to her advantage. She lies so much i don't even think she knows the truth anymore, she destroys things in the home, she steals things anything from money  jewelry to food. She says i want to destroy her life and that i am cruel for expecting certain standards and rules within the home. I had a very serious medical incident within the last six months and i almost died, my recovery has been very difficult and im still not quite back to where i would like to be, despite this she seems to go out of her way to hurt me in any way she can. I feel i have failed as a mother, i miss the girl i thought i knew. I just feel so hopeless, will she ever be independent or will i have a stroppy 45 year old kid still living at home  if i live that long... .

Hello April snow and welcome to bpdfamily forum

Glad you found us, I've requested for your post to be moved to the parenting board. I'm sorry to hear of your situation, that is very tough, your health and dealing with your daughter. You've come to the right place for support, advice and great resources that help us through, you are not alone. Is your daughter in treatment? Do you have support of family/friend?

Good to meet you April snow.
