I'm new to this site, but I was wondering if I could receive some advice. Currently I'm in a relationship with someone who was just diagnosed with BPD. She's an amazing woman and our relationship is extremely healthy we never argue. When we have issues we talk them out to avoid her anxiety being built up. I was just wondering if I can receive advice on how to handle BPD at times she can be unreasonable and it's hard.

Thanks

Welcome UsmcCam:
I'm sorry to hear that you partner received a diagnosis of BPD.  You say that your relationship is healthy and you don't argue.  What type of things is she unreasonable with?  Can you give some examples?

You will find that by using various communication skills, that you can better manage situations.  A good place to start is to go to the wide green band at the top of the page and go to the "Tools" menu.  There are links to some skills.  Check them out and then give them a try.  Some people like to read about certain skills and then come back and post about them.  It can help to validate your understanding and gain some input, while you practice.

We look forward to hearing more of your story.
