My doughter is only 12 and I think, that she is sufferig bedly because of BPD. The information about BPD disorder we first heard from her psychiatrist. Now she attends to day group at the hospital. She has 2 suicide attempst this year, a lot of selfcuttings, distortion disorder, she is emotionally unstable and she also accuses her father of terrible thinks. She tries to smoke, drink alcohole and she started to be very vulgar. She has a lot of problems with other kids. Everything is white or black: people, events, things. Living with her is like sitting on bomb. I'm now the only person who is able to calm her down but I'm exhausted. I'm looking for people with similar problems. I'm from Poladn and I can't find support group. I hope to finde some parents here.

Hello Agnixa

Welcome to the community   I'm glad you found us, you've come to the right place for support, parents here understand what you are dealing with, you are not alone.    Parenting a child with BPD as you say is exhausting and that's why its important we take time for us to self-care, you must be very busy, do you get time for you?  That's hard for your husband to be accused of terrible things, it hurts, how is he managing that?

You are doing great calming down your daughter, there are tools and lessons to the right  Bullet: important point (click to insert in post) skills that can be learned, many of them are not intuitive and require a lot of practice and patience. They do work.

You've been through so much this year, what is the most challenging behaviour you are dealing with are the moment?

Glad you are here with us.  Smiling (click to insert in post)

Hi Agnixa,

I wanted to join wendydarling in welcoming you

I'm glad you found the site, and am so sorry for the sadness that brings you here. Having a support group, even if it's not in person, can make a world of difference.

You write that living with her is like living with a bomb. A lot of parents here can identify with that
It can be so exhausting, as you say.

Do you know what kind of treatment she is receiving during her day group at the hospital?

What are some of the things that help calm your daughter?
