Hi folks,
How do you choose a residential treatment center for my 19dd? Is there an advocate you can recommend?
We are currently looking at Insight in Chicago.
Is there any advise people could offer when choosing a place and convincing insurance that she is at that need of care?

Hi Daisy.

We literally googled.

Found 20-30 centers, narrowed it down by looking at the websites, and called 4-6 of the remaining ones.

Decided on one that was relatively close to us (300 miles), and that we could afford, and that specialized in BPD.

Hi Daisy123

I'm in the UK, wondered if your local NAMI may have a parents network for local feedback on RTCs, list of advocates etc.
