Christmas Eve I was told to be at daughters house at 3:45. I arrived on time. Rather than 'hi mom, merry christmas', I was greeted with 'what are you doing here? My father is in the house). Her father is my ex, who also treats me abusively. He was supposed to be gone by then. I went to car sobbing and then told son I had to go home rarther than put my self in uncomfortable/painful evening, not know how daughter was going to treat me. Now I am blame for ruining Christmas Eve.

Hello Pollysmith

Welcome

I'm sorry I'd be upset too, you were given a time to arrive, your daughter did not abide to, putting you in a very difficult position.  Perhaps she was in difficulty ending the visitation and unable to say, now blaming you.

Does this happen often? Is she stuck between you and your ex?
