Need for a support group

I thought my wife has been suffering from bipolar disorder but now it seems quite clear that she has borderline personality disorder. I’ve been listening to Stop Walking on Eggshells from an audiobook as I commute to and from work. I’m on my fourth time through it and now know that I need to belong to a support group.

Can you tell us more about what has been going on? What symptoms does your wife have? How long have you been together?

I've done the same thing, listening to to SWOE during the work commute. This forum is a great resource for support.

Aside from seeing a therapist yourself, I'd also recommend a NAMI family support group. Some other books you might want to look into are "Loving someone with Borderline Personality Disorder", if you have boundary issues then "Boundaries: Where you end and I begin", and "Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No To Take Control of Your Life".

If you have co-dependecy issues, then "Codependent no more" is a good choice as well as a Codependents Anonymous support group.
