Where to begin?

This recent diagnosis is so over whelming - yet answers so many questions. And then there are the new questions to be asked. I’m not sure where to start.
My adult daughter is “drowning” and she doesn’t see it. Her siblings, friends are ready to give up on her. We are scheduled to see a therapist to help us. She says she seeking help but does not share details.
I sometimes hesitate even speaking with her because I’m so tired of the lies and manipulative behavior. I need help with boundaries and the best way to go about setting them.
Thank you

How do you view her as "drowning" as you say?

Hello Momofkcb
I would like to join
Turkish
in welcoming you here.
Yes, I understand how overwhelmed you must be feeling, although it is good to receive a diagnosis, there is just so much to take in. Take your time, let it slowly sink in a little bit at a time
I am sorry to hear that you see your daughter as “drowning”, is this because you feel that she isn’t accepting any help?
You say “We are scheduled to see a therapist to help us”, who are you referring to when you say “We”?
You also say that you need help setting boundaries, the most important thing to remember about boundaries is that they are there for you, to protect your values. Here is a link for you:

I look forward to hearing more from you x

Hello
Momofkcb
Along with
Turkish and Feeling Better
I welcome you.
It is overwhelming to receive the diagnosis, so much to take in I remember it well, it's hard to know where to start. I started here with bpdfamily, my lifeline, sanctuary~ parents held me close during the toughest of times and the resources helped me find my way out of crisis, and they both continue to.
We've got you, I too look forward to supporting you.
Small steps, hope

Hi Momofkcb
I join the others in welcoming you to BPD Family - you're in good company.
I can totally relate to being hesitant to speak with my daughter due to the lies and manipulation. This past week with her, very little has been said between us. I'm jumping back in with communication, though, because above all else, I love her dearly and know she is hurting.
I'm glad you found us, the fine folks here are incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. The information throughout the site is so very helpful and better than anything I've come across by "googling."
I'm glad you're here.
