Hi Once Removed,

I used to do a lot of positive reinforcement. We have set a strict boundary though that until she gets treatment for both addiction and psychological issues,  we cannot have a relationship with her. I don't want to give any input on what she's doing. Her actions have to speak for themselves and she needs to see the consequences, good or bad, and do things for herself only.

She desperately was trying to keep us enmeshed and actively "parenting" her.  As long as she sees us in that roll she will not help herself.
