Hi, folks;
Just looking to connect with other parents of children with BPD.  I have a 16-year-old daughter who has always been a challenge, accelerating as time passed.  This summer, she finally reached a point where she was feeling suicidal and making plans and was admitted to hospital.  I had half expected to hear that she was Bi-polar, but the diagnosis was BPD.  It is a lot to deal with, and she is not yet ready to face the work of helping herself.  She is also diabetic, so her lack of self-care is extra risky in this case.  She is missing school, and at risk of failing.
I guess I just want to be able to hear from others how you've dealt with your own children in this circumstance.

Hello By chance
Welcome to the group. You have come to the right place for information and support. A new diagnosis can be overwhelming. It leaves you with so many questions. But it can also be the first step toward getting your child the help she needs. What are your biggest questions and concerns at this point? Perhaps we can help.
