Good Morning -
I have just signed up and look forward to sharing and learning.  My 23 year old daughter suffers from anxiety, BPD, Bipolar, and OCD.  She still lives at home with my husband and myself.  She is in therapy and on meds, but it does not seem to be working too well.  We are at our wits end.  My therapist recommended she start DBT.  Has anyone had any experience with that?

So sorry to hear about your daughter's burdens, and yours, though it's good to hear that both you and she are in therapy.

It sounds like she is generally compliant with treatment -- she takes her meds, goes to appointments? Does she seem to accept her diagnoses?

hi!  welcome to this FABULOUS group!  My 24 y/o BPD daughter started DBT, around February 2023; i hope I do not irritate anyone, however, in MY opinion, (maybe it was just HER therapist?) that is when everything went downhill (for me) (she just cut our family OFF, no warning) she started making odd remarks, she could not walk in past the foyer in our house (she has an apartment) b/c "she was having flashbacks of the horrible things that occurred (our family may "bicker" sometimes, as families do, however, I cannot recollect horrible things (nor did her sister) and she was advised to "avoid anything that caused her stress" (well...that would be ANYthing) (she than quit her job (she just did not show up) that she was at for 7 years (they considered her family and were very generous and kind to her) and is now working at a daycare (?) (i would think that could be stressful); anyway....I don't pretend to be an expert, those are just things that happened after she started; good luck!  I know it is awful club to be in
