I don't see many posts like this so I don't know if it is okay to ask but I am desperately seeking treatment for my DD20 and would appreciate any suggestions if you happen to live in or near NH. Therapists, psychologists, treatment centers, alternative therapies, anything that might be able to help her to cope with her intense emotions and the pain that she feels.

She has been seeing therapists and psychiatrists for over 10 years (reluctantly and mostly before she turned 18) that only treat her for anxiety and depression and she has just gotten worse. No one has given her an official BPD diagnosis (I was always told it was because she wasn't old enough to be diagnosed) even though she has met most of the criteria since a very young age.

She has been spiraling downward lately, and I am in constant fear that she is going to commit suicide (multiple threats/ideation and 1 serious attempt last year). I am so afraid for her and don't know what to do, I just can't bear the thought of losing her. I want her to realize that she doesn't have to always feel this way and that there are ways to feel better and reduce her pain but its hard to convince her that there are good providers out there when so many have failed her.

One idea that helped me was calling a crisis team to come to the house ( they may do virtual due to covid).   I did that with my son through the years .  They talk to , have resources and have lists of therapists, etc. ( if your daughter is currently not comfortable with her therapists now).  However, your daughter has to be in agreement to talk to the crisis team.
Here is a link on suicidal ideation in others from this forum:https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=79032.0
The best way to tackle this one is to have a conversation with her .  Ask her if she has a plan currently.  Don't be afraid of " putting the idea in her head" if you talk with her.   The crisis team did help with my son when he was 12 and having suicidal ideation.
