My name is savannah and I have been recently diagnosed with bpd... My bio father had it and he ruined my childhood and caused my trauma... I don't want to be like him. And I don't know what's going on with me.. I don't know who I am any more. I can't eat or sleep, I keep hearing things and seeing things. And getting angry and sad and freaking out and wanting to die but then 5 mins later laughing and not knowing what sadness is. I need help, I don't know anything about what's happening to me

It is wonderful you have a diagnosis and are seeking help.  These boards are more for the family members of a BPD.  For help as a BPD , you may want to peruse this link:

Hi Savannah

I'm sorry to hear how frightening that must be, and I'm very glad you are reaching out for help.

I don't honestly know what the best resources are, I think the Marsha Lineham books were the most helpful that I found.  Kudos for recognizing you might have BPD and trying to figure out what to do about it!   I found that with my dd sometimes trying to work through logically was a good way to calm down emotions.

Do you have a therapist who can help you in your area?

I'm not sure what others think but I would welcome your posts in your journey to find help.
