VIDEO: "What is parental alienation?" Parental alienation is when a parent allows a child to participate or hear them degrade the other parent. This is not uncommon in divorces and the children often adjust. In severe cases, however, it can be devastating to the child. This video provides a helpful overview.

The custody evaluation is probably the best place for all that.  Many judges claim not to be experts in other professionals' fields.  In court it's possible each issue would be considered separately (I know, doesn't make sense) and then discounted.  Even the CE could do that as well.  However, the CE ought to have a social worker or psychologist background and may be more likely to look at the overall situation and recommend accordingly.

For example, court could consider p0rn, categorize it as an adult issue and discount it.  Emotional abuse, no bruises, discounted.  Parental alientation, viewed skeptically, discounted.

However, if court comes first, then be sure to get it mentioned, then when CE happens, get it mentioned too, then when it goes back to court, get it mentioned again.  In other words, don't give the court an excuse to tell you, too late, you should have mentioned it before to someone else.

What precisely your local court or custody evaluator does or doesn't consider when making decisions is unknown.  I was only remarking that this information could make a difference - or not.  Since you don't know how it will work out in the end, then do your best.  As a general rule, it's not good to hide, minimize or ignore the other spouse's behaviors which might be considered when being evaluated.  Get a feel for what matters to the experts in your local area, that will help you to be seen as a concerned parent and not disconnected from reality.
