I have an idea. pwBPD can forget Nons quickly and easily because they paint them black... in other words they create a negative image of the Non in their mind and ignore any positives of him/her.
Why cant we Nons use their tecniques to forget them.
because we are likely not mentally ill at the same level
We should practice focussing on their neagtives
such as lies, devaluation,jealousy,sarcasm, rages and threats etc. to create a negative image of pwBPD to enable us to forget them easily. Has anyone thought of and tried this tecnique?
Emotionally healthy people can see balance - not black/white or all/nothing thinking.
These techniques of focusing on the negatives do serve a purpose to help us detach so we can properly grieve the relationship.
