STD? I hope not

I guess I'll start by saying my health has been a little wacked out since last Nov. I found out my x had been sleeping with many partners and I had no idea. I was in love and wouldn't have minded getting her pregnant and having a child together. I got her pregnant twice and she miscarried both times. Not sure they were actually mine Looking back at the situation. We had unprotected sex all the time and I was ok with that. Last November I began having stomach aches that lasted a month and then kinda we t away. Today's my 9th day NC. I decided to get a full std screening and had other bloodwork I needed done as well. My Dr. Called me today and said that I need to come in to talk. I have a few abnormalities apparently and am going in tomorrow to find out. I'm anxious right now and am thinking about different scenarios as to the outcome. I have a bad feeling, my body has been different the last six months and I'm scared now. Just gonna hope for the best I guess, there's nothing I can do!

Oh, wow, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it's nothing serious, kba. That's nerve wracking to make you wait like that. I'd be scared too, man. Did the doctor give you any indication about things?
I'll say a prayer for you tonight. Hoping all goes well tomorrow.

Thank you! I had a few routine blood tests, had a lactose intolerance test and full std screening. I guess a Dr. Has to tell you the results of an HIV test in person so tomorrow at 9:40 AM I'll know. My game with the x is so over but this will really suck cuz I'm gonna be so pissed off if I'm sick!

Hi kba,
I'm sending out a prayer for you also. I hope you get a good health report back from the Dr.

I'm truly sorry you are going through this. I'd be so upset too. That would be so unfair. Praying for you.

Hey KBA... . that's scary. I've been there. I understand that HIV symptoms usually don't show up for an average of 10 years. So it's probably not that. Hard not to worry... . stay in the moment and hope for the best.

I saw my doctor yesterday, I have Hepatitis C . I have read about it and can't throw the blame at my X. I never did any drugs where needles were involved. My doctor said you can get it a number of ways and sex is one but not as common. Last November I got really sick for a few days, my stomach was churning! After, my stomach hurt for a month and still does on occasion. Some people describe the symptoms as flu like and they can appear 2-6 weeks after contact with infected blood. My x and I broke up for three months last fall, she called me on Halloween and we recycled once again. These symptoms appeared around the end of November. I will be going for more blood work Tuesday and will be visiting an infectious disease center for treatment. The liver is what can be damaged, in fact, the number one reason people get liver transplants is Hep C. My HIV testing was negative.

Oh no... . I'm so sorry to hear that kba... . obviously the good news is that you are not HIV positive. I assume you will have to contact the ex to tell her about it so she can get tested? I don't know alot about HepC but I remember reading about several celebrities who have it (only one I can remember off the top of my head though is Pamela Anderson) - so you will hopefully be able to live a good life still with proper treatment?
(sorry for my ignorance). I know this has got to be so hard to go thru - especially after going thru a borderline r/s... . ! Seems like too much for one person to have to go thru... . ((hugs))

Thank you! I'm kinda ignorant about it too but as far as I know it can be cured. I'm not telling my X, I'm not breaking NC for anything although I thought about it. I guess I just don't know until I meet with the infectious disease center (god that sounds awful!). I will ask their advise as to telling x partners. As long as my liver is ok things should be cool. I'm doing fine, definitely gives me a great reason to start taking care of me
. No more stoli and cranberry juice for me
