Since I have been split black, I feel like I am getting texts from a computer. Words are cut and dried, everything is followed by "thank you" with a period, and then his name. I said, you don't need to sign your texts. I know it's you!  I always know when I am split black, as he will not capitalize my name on purpose.   Texts are short and to the point. When raging, my phone just keeps dinging with page after page of texts. It is so odd. Has anyone experienced this?

Yes.

But with my ex Gf the alcoholism factor comes into play. But I noticed the verbiage she used when in an BPD "episode" was noticeable from her calm periods.

She would repeat the same things over again, whether in a black or white stage.

I raised a post on this a while back. I noticed that in the beginning my exgf would use punctuation out of context such as a lot of exclamation marks where they didn't fit. Also her spelling was terrible. After being split black it is correctly spelt and punctuated and very business like.

yes. I would notice right before and push away cycle that her texting would change. her wording got shorter. she would be very dramtic with her wording, such as I LOVE YOU. when she was pushing away it would be something like love u. She also got that way with objects I had gave her. I gave some earrings and a necklace. The necklace she wore daily. I could always tell when one of her push away cycle was going to start about a week before the blow up, the first sign that it was coming, was the necklace would come off and she would stop wearing it, then her texting would get shorter, less daily phone calls and hardly any words of affections, then nit picking anyting and everything i said or did, followed by devauling me and then the break up.

but the make up cycle would be the same. we would be apart for 3 or 4 weeks, then I would start seeing her pop up at places I was, she would be wearing the necklace, followed by dramatic texts, phone calls, apolgies, marraige talk, recycle.

This pattern was the only thing that was consistent in 3 years.

It was always very clear to me when his head had switched again... .I never got a kiss at the end of the text.  All his 'normal' texts had kisses on the end, then randomly and suddenly NO KISS and I instantly knew!  Mostly didnt know why... .but this was a very frequent occurrence that I came to dread.  Also If we were having one of our very frequent periods of time following a rage when I didnt see him for a few days but we were still texting, there would be no kisses.  Then suddenly there would be a text with a kiss on the end and I knew his head had switched back to 'normal'.  No matter how many times I asked him not to do it as it upset me (I also thought it was really childish).  it seems such a small thing but it seemed to say such a lot.
