At Daughter's Wedding

Weird to be here in Mexico on my own in an empty hotel room.  Told wife I was going - I avoided doing as I knew she would blow.  Which she did, quite spectacularly.  Those that know wonder about someone who would begrudge a dad the opportunity for a dad to walk a daughter down the aisle.  She was invited by daughter to come but W persisted in the belief she was not allowed to go to wedding.

Wife asked that we please move forward with a dissolution.  I agreed and offered to file.  Weird that I am okay w this. 

Planning on going to lawyer for consult when they get back from their holiday.  They all cleared out when the courts closed.

If this breakup is agreed upon, is it necessary to engage a lawyer?

She persisted that she was not allowed to go to the wedding when she was invited. Do you think that she may persist with you?

What if she incurs debt after your break-up and you're separated but you don't have a divorce decree? You're responsible for half of that debt. I'm not a legal expert but you may want to consult with a lawyer.
