I love my boyfriend very much. We want to get married and have children. He is not diagnosed and I've been researching things like bipolar and BPD. He is very much a Jekyll and Hyde. He is the nicest sweetest most caring wonderful person and then he snaps. Mean horrible nasty and violant. Its mostly directed at 1 while he is nice to another but the rage toward the target has destroyed my home and things. My heart aches. Like I've been stabbed everytime it happens. I hurt for him. Phsycially cry and can't breathe. I don't know what to do

Welcome aboard. 

I am so sorry that you are going through this.    It is heartbreaking to watch someone you love become mean, nasty, and volatile.  What makes it more confusing is the other times when our loved one acts completely different. 

You have come to the right place for support and understanding. I understand exactly what you mean when you say you hurt for your boyfriend. I feel the same way.  The lessons on the right side of the page are a great start.

That sounds really scary when he snaps and destroys things in your home. What types of things makes him snap?
