Hello,
I am new here & have been reading posts over the last week & it looks like a great place to me to speak. I live in New Zealand & have two young daughters.
My husband has been recently diagnosed with BPD, its been a long battle to get this diagnosis.
On 31 December he tired to kill himself (2nd time) I am thankful to our local community who pulled him from the ocean during one of his cycles. I am no stranger to his cycles, however I am sick of it.
We are waiting for his specialist appointment, where I assume we will go over his history. Unfortunately for my husband, english is his 2nd language so he asks me to attend all appointments.
While husband has picked up & continued life from last week, I am emotionally struggling with his latest episode. I'm just not sure where to start?

I am so sorry you are going through this. I can't imagine the hurt and anger you are going through right now. I hope this attempt will be the catalyst for him to get help. Lots of support here.

Hi Kiwi
I completely understand about what you mean by "he is going on from the last episode, but I am still struggling." My husband just had one of his episodes over the weekend; he just hit his "reset button" and is all fine and happy and I AM STILL hurt and stressed from it. They leave us with unbelievable scars that no one can see. Its the hardest thing ever. I know your pain.

Hello Kiwigirl,
Welcome here. In this place you can vent all you want, so don't hold back.
Can I ask what his age is?
Also, if he tried to commit suicide, is it possible that his BPD is a symptom of severe depression?
