It's a new year!  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post) Time for reflections and thinking ahead (and woolspinning of course  Smiling (click to insert in post) ).

What do you wish to see change in your life this year? I'm not necessarily talking about New Year's resolutions because we all know how well those go! But what would you like to see change in your life this year as regards your Coping and Healing?

It is hard to measure our progress as relates to a pwBPD in our lives. However, many if not most of us need some positive movement to be seen. Will you start in T? Will you look for opportunities to set boundaries? What will it be? Perhaps one less obligatory phone call each week or each month. What do you need to begin to do to start being healthy for your own sake?

How often I tend to think of my uBPDm as the enemy, whether consciously or unconsciously. The reality is that she is another person (although very unhealthy mentally). I am as important as she is, or any other person. If I can see myself as an individual with needs and wants, I think I can begin to stand up for those and become whole.

Remember we cannot control the outcome with our pwBPD. We can only control ourselves and our choices.

Please share your thoughts, hopes and dreams! There is no failing but merely reaching for what is good and healthy.

Dad to my wolf pack

My goals (I hate goals... .I don't want to be accountable,  even to myself  Smiling (click to insert in post)

Are to start working out again,  even if hiking,  to lose 20 lbs (which means 30). I went up to my biggest pant size ever this year.  Too much Hermiting!

Refocus on my job.  I got my first poor review in 24 years. I don't blame my BPD mom, nor my probably cost me thousands and thousands of dollars though in the long run.  I'm alone responsible for my own healing; no one is coming to "rescue" me.  We had layoffs and a major reorganization in my company this past week.  Time to step up rather than lapse into cynicism.

Regarding my mother,  I'm pretty much NC, other than talking to her briefly before Christmas. That will be a huge mess (literally and legally) I'll have to clean up at some point,  but "sufficient is the evil of the day thereof"; I'm dealing with my ex and the kids now,  my primary responsibilities.
