I'm new to this site, and joined because no one else close to me has experienced what it's like to be married to someone with BPD. The diagnosis is still relatively new for both of us (not quite two years yet), and the learning curve has been substantial. We've had to adjust how we communicate with each other, and still struggle with how to do so as effectively as possible. Thankfully, having the confirmation of BPD has helped a lot. But, there are still times when I feel at a loss--of what to say, how to diffuse a situation without making it worse, etc. I'm hoping to be able to feel less frustrated, and better equipped, by being here. Thanks :-).

Welcome! You will find lots of people her improving their lives as well.

Have you read about Validation (green link on the right ->. It's a good conversation technique that may reduce friction. It will certainly help, but remember that he does have BPD, so friction can never be stopped completely.
