iam married to a beautifull women, who has been thru a lot in her life, she was raped as a kid bye her brothers and there friends, and had the same thing happen in her first marriage, she is unable to put the past behind her,and she has relapses into ptsd , because of the traumatic experience, this make it hard to live with as she has mood swings , and does not understand that her behaviour is not right, that is because of BPD , it is a life long challenge living with someone like this, but lfe is about caring ,and taking things one day at a time

Hi LivingLife,

This sounds terribly painful! Has she had therapy or does she now see a therapist to help her?

How are you coping? How do you manage with the mood swings? How often are they happening? Do you notice what triggers them?

take care, pearlsw.

Hello LivingLife,

Let me join pearlsw in welcoming you to the boards.  This is a good community, and you can find a lot of support here, along with learning about ways to cope with living with someone with BPD to make both of your lives better.  Take a look at the links to the right of the screen to start learning.

Can you tell us more about your situation?  How long have you been married?
