My best friend, not my SO, may suffer from bpd or bipolar disorder.  So far I have been the only friend to stick by his side.  Last week he left town, didnt say goodbye, no contact and even went as far as befriending me on Facebook.  I can read books and articles all I want but I need more human response from people kn similar situations.  I've been continuing our ritual of saying good night and good morning as I dont want him to feel I have abandoned him.  He doesnt answer so then I fear that by co thinking to text him each day i might be triggering him further.  We have gone through lots of dark spells and we always come out okay.  But this one feels different, to the point I questioned the bpd and wondered if I had been played.  I love him to death and will always be there for him no matter how hard it is.  I just need to understand more of personal experiences that relate to mine.  Thanks!
