I just found out about BPD and I feel I have found the puzzle piece.
My husband has BPD in my opinion and has no interest in getting help for his anger problem. My son is only 11 showing traits of BPD expressing hatred for his father, hatred for his life, discontentment of himself, constantly expressing self harm and death. While I am tending my son’s emotional need, my husband is calling for my attention and gets upset for not paying immediate attention. I feel overwhelmed. I am currently in individual therapy. My son is also in therapy. But I feel the urgency to get family therapy for the well-being of my son.

Hello Hope40
Welcome to the group. I am glad you found us. It sounds like you really are caught in the middle in sort of a BPD sandwich between your husband and son. It is geeat that you are in individual therapy. Adding family therapy sounds like a great idea. Please let us know how that goes.
