My daughter will go into rages against me or against her in laws regularly. Then she will punish us by keeping her children away and cutting off communication. This will generally last a couple of weeks. Then she will act like it didn’t happen. I have read that People with BPD generally feel remorse after a rage. Has anyone else experienced this type of thing?

Hello Momofbpd
Welcome to the group  Welcome new member (click to insert in post)
I am glad you found us. What you are going through with your daughter is sadly not unusual. People with BPD often do lash out against those who are closest to them in an attempt to alleviate their own pain, at least for the moment. It is also sadly not unusual for them to use grandchildren as a weapon against their parents. There are several members here who are in similar situations. I am sure they will be along shortly to share some of their experiences. Sometimes people with BPD do experience remorse after they rage but not always. I think it is a hard emotion for them to process. What other questions and concerns do you have that we might help you with?

I spent 8 whole years as the other parent. Dtr came off her meds in June and now I am "odd at the best of times" with her.

I am forbidden to speak to her or to go to her house. We always spent Halloween and birthdays together. Christmas was also at my house.

She has blocked me on wotsapp.

We didnt even have a row ...

Everyone is different is my guess. My dtr has not shown remorse and I am waiting for a breast biopsy..

Kind of shocking
