Hi ,

My partner thinks she has BPD and exhibits many signs. I love her , want to help her and am exhausted from the condition . Can she find a support group for BPD similar to AA and where? What is the treatment and outlook for BPD? It seems few therapists specialize and I’m not sure of insurance covers this specifically.

Thank you ,

Hi  BPDpartner534:

Can you share a list of the problem behaviors?

People with BPD traits, generally are dealing with multiple issues.  Does she suffer from depression and/or anxiety or has she had a diagnosis of any mental health issue in the past?

BPDpartner, is she open to getting treatment? The outlook can depend on the person's understanding and acceptance of the disorder.

It is exhausting to be the non - big hug to you. I hope you know that we're here to support you in the ways we can. The discovery was overwhelming, but since then, I've been able to vent, I've learned about resources, and I've found my center again, and I feel stronger. Let us know how we can help.  Virtual hug (click to insert in post)
