Hi, I am new to this group. My 21-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with PBT after many years of wild roller coaster ride starting at the age of 14. She suffered much since, (cutting suicide attempts, risky behavior, drug abuse etc) we finally found a therapist that she likes, only has had three sessions so far. Waiting for the referral of dilective behavior therapy. Hoping and praying that she will stay consistent with her therapy and new meds as we have gone through so many throughout the years. Her mood is all over the place, I've been reading the book stop walking on eggshells. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance to all ❤️

Welcome!  You are doing every thing right, and great that you reached out to our forum.   It is important  for you to know you are as important as the BPD adult child, so self care is a must.  It is great your daughter is willing to get help.  Your job is what you are doing- reading up on BPD, and building up your own network of support.   In addition, some of us also go to 12 step programs for families such as Alanon, Codependents Anonymous, etc.  These are free, online, and help with keeping the focus on ourselves.  Please take a look around this forum.  There is a library with other suggested readings on BPD as well.  Write to us as you have need, we are here for you.
