Paragraph header  (click to insert in post) First let me be clear that my “child” is 33 years old. I had her sixteen years after my first child. She has not “launched.” I am getting old and weary. Today I am a prude, yesterday I was always comparing her to someone else’s child and making her feel bad. I know about walking on eggshells. It definitely feels like that. And sometimes, like now, it feels like death by a thousand cuts. I don’t have a concrete question yet. I just need a balm.

I echo Swimmy's welcome! We're glad you're here.  Virtual hug (click to insert in post)

I've received my share of unfair, hateful accusations and meanness from my kids (17 and 20) just this week.  My soul feels run down.

When you get a chance tell us more.  Virtual hug (click to insert in post) You DO need a balm. Healing is important and your healing is ultimately beneficial for all involved. It gives you something positive to focus on and work towards.

You're not the only person that's experienced this, you can survive, there is hope, and somehow, sometime, this is going to be ok. Big hug. With affection (click to insert in post)
