Is it possible for someone with BPD to climb out of their own private hell and re-establish love and trust and respect with a beloved one?

Hi,
I have been a long time lurker. I have an ex with BP traits and I think it is difficult to discuss all individuals with this diagnosis as though they were one person. People are unique, but it sounds like you are hurting and wanting some support so I thought I would reach out. You are not alone.

With my ex, we were together for 7 years, we tried to do the friends thing. It was tricky, we relapsed a couple of times. Perhaps it is easier with friendships.

Thank you. Do you have any advice? Books read? Counselors that helped the individual and the couple?

Hi,
Not knowing the specifics of the situation makes this  difficult to answer. People are unique.
