I am sorry if I will offend any one here but you are my friends and I hope you understand the purpose  of doing that .

Today the 14 marks the anniversary of her departure 4 months ago .

I thought if I do that relationship funeral ,I will really put her behind me and go NC for ever .

It's sad but it might help me every time I think of her to switch to seeing the ashes falling slowly in the Ocean

I think it is a great idea to be honest.

As with many things I think it can help a lot find a certain kind of closure when you have a symbolic end point.

I was pondering selling my wedding ring. Bit it ended up on the bottom of the ocean too.

I think that's an excellent idea.  When people we love die we get to have a funeral and say a proper goodbye.  But in this type of BU we are left with no closure.  I think these rituals are important.  Last weekend I shredded all cards & letters and mailed the last of the things I had of his to his brother.  I also went out and replaced all the things he kept of mine and wouldn't return.  So these things signify my closure.  I'm trying to think of a ritual I could do with my s10 (ex's stepson) as he didn't get to say goodbye and is not knowing how to grieve this.  It's very difficult for him.

You have a big heart and you are respectful.  I think I would have flushed the ashes in a public toilet.

I do not mean this post to be funny, rather complimentary of you.

Humanity is a stream my friend, and each of us individual drops.  How can you then distinguish one from the other?
