VIDEO: "What is parental alienation?" Parental alienation is when a parent allows a child to participate or hear them degrade the other parent. This is not uncommon in divorces and the children often adjust. In severe cases, however, it can be devastating to the child. This video provides a helpful overview.

Well I've managed to get thru 18weeks of NC with my ex BPD gf. She has only sent one email in the last 18weeks and I have not responded. Part of me wants to still have closure with her and another part of me says keep moving forward and don't look back. I still think about her and feel sad for her because she probably has no knowledge of BPD. I've ran into her daughter and her daughter in law and they both have came up to me and said hi. I've dated alot of women in my time and I can honestly say this is the hardest breakup I've ever been thru. Why is it so hard to get over her?

I am greatful that I have knowledge of BPD! That something she can't take away from me. I hope I get thru this soon because it hasn't been easy. I still wonder if she's going to contact me again.

Well done stevenq!

That's a great effort

They are hard to shake because of idealisation and the lack of sense it all makes as they do stuff that runs counter to their words.

The only closure will come from yourself, NC and examination of what it was about her that you were drawn to (needed help? said what you wanted to hear?)

Keep on trucking. No looking back
